APELOA is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Yong-Li Zhong as Chief Technology Officer, Chemistry. Dr. Zhong will lead our major technical projects, drive core technology breakthroughs, and cultivate innovative talent, further elevating our capabilities in scientific research and innovation.

Dr. Zhong earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and conducted postdoctoral research at The Scripps Research Institute in San Diego. With 21 years of experience at Merck in process development, he brings deep industry knowledge and extensive expertise in drug synthesis and commercialization. Dr. Zhong will lead our R&D team in developing innovative and competitive solutions for our CDMO business. His expertise will strengthen our leadership in chemistry and drive our continued high-quality growth.
